• New clients book a free Meet & Greet – then schedule a minimum one day visit and then one overnight to make initial acquaintances and ensure compatibility to routine Farm life prior to being accepted for any longer term stays.
• This policy reduces potential separation anxiety that you or your pet may encounter in reassuring they are comfortable and content staying with their new friends here at the Farm before longer visits.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Do not administer Bordetella vaccines to your dog during the three weeks prior to any planned socialization or farm visits to avoid any possibility of spreading potentially contagious symptoms that some dogs may develop after vaccination (for example: runny nose, goober eye)- always wait at least three weeks before attending the farm following this administration!!

REASONABLE RATES

DAYCARE (8 AM – 6 PM) –$28

OVERNIGHT BOARD (24 hrs from drop off time) — $40

• $5.00 / hr outside regularly scheduled hours
• Ask about discounts for multiple dog households and on stays longer than three weeks
• Private kennel spaces are available on request
• No additional fees for medication administration

NEW IN 2024! The Loft is now available to rent for your friendly CAT or other small animals (fish, birds, reptiles, rabbits, etc)

The Loft is a private room upstairs in the farm house… always away from the dogs!  Give us a call to discuss this new guest pet service!

Ask about our ‘check in at home’ service available within our local area – we can drop by to feed the fish, cats, or the horses, let Fido out for a pee break, make sure the heater is turned on in the lizard tank and throw him some crickets, water the goats, put your chickens in for the night…etc. We can also make arrangements for small farm animals to stay with us… ask…maybe we can help!

Conveniently located less than 10 km from the TCH#104 halfway between Antigonish and New Glasgow in north eastern Piictou County, Nova Scotia… OK, we are a little bit off the beaten track… but your pal will really appreciate that extra mile! So many of our clients say their dog starts “singing” or gets really excitedly happy when they recognize that old covered bridge over the Barneys River that lets them know they are on their way to visit the Farm!

We will be happy to greet you at the main gate with arrivals and departures scheduled for mutual convenience.

Pets must arrive / exit leashed or crated to ensure proper introductions and etiquette with others arriving or exiting the yard at the same time.

For your own and other guest’s safety DO NOT EVER OPEN ANY FARM DOOR OR GATE while unattended by Farm staff!

Grooming or obedience training is not offered on-site but may be arranged with great local providers on special request.

Your dog will love our “Beggin’ Hearts & Bones” farm-baked, human grade, all natural treats – grab some at our Farm market tables and ask for more when you visit!
